do you prefer mangas written by japanese or international creators? Personally, Original Japanese manga is better, but American mangas are also ok..(dramacon and bizenghast) _________________

| I say original japanese is much better, but I have to get use to the american styles, because my sister is gonna be a mangaka. To my view, her drawings looks like the japanese than american. ^__^ |

Favorite mangas in order: Rose of Versailles, Claymore, Crimson Hero, Brother Dear Brother, Inuyasha, Sailor Moon, Bleach. (Is there anyone besides me here who's heard about ROV or BDB?)
I'm also reading Yu Yu Hakusho, Vampire Knight, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. I followed Naruto and One Piece for a few years and dropped them two months ago. And though I consider this more of a novel series than a manga, who here hasn't heard of Maria-sama ga Miteru? If I did consider it a manga, I would put it in my top five. |

| Camille wrote: | | Maria Sama's a manga, I think. I just saw an online manga of it.. | It is, and I've read all of the chapters that've been scanlated so far, and I've also watched all three seasons of the anime online. However, Marimite orginally started as a Japansese light novel series for young adults, and I've read some of the translated novels online in addition to the notes on each novel at Okazu. The novels are more detailed than either the anime or manga because they came first without time, page, or budgeting limits. Thus, while I've always known that Marimite was an anime/manga and in fact, became familiar with the anime before any of the other mediums, I still think of Marimite as a novel series first. Sorry if I wasn't clear earlier. |
